My photography is centered on landscape imagery where there are unexpected vestiges of buildings, cast aside objects, and other remnants of society slowly being overtaken and hidden by nature. While the reality of decay is evident, the recurring theme is that of nature consuming what man has left behind in the landscape.

 

Time stands still for a moment when I am drawn to these structures and relics; I am totally consumed by place and time. I seek unusual forms defined by light and shadow. My photographs are unmanipulated and call attention to subtle details. Often there is a path or barrier depicted in my images which present a visual metaphor representing anyone's life journey. Each image shows an exploration of the tension between chaos and order. My goal is to draw viewers into a particular space to interact and evoke the passage of time through the beauty of nature's embace and resilience. This allows the viewer to re-experience their own adaptability and endurance.
